Ibiza
Have you ever wanted to explore Ibiza without being close to the party atmosphere? In May 2023 we stayed in Santa Eulalia, which is situated on the eastern coast. A popular choice for families and couples with a great choice of hotels, from quaint little places to elegant four and five star hotels. Santa Eulalia is Ibiza’s third largest resort and a beloved destination for those seeking a quieter holiday. There is a beautiful, palm lined promenade running the length of the broad and sandy beach. With a long-established reputation as the island’s gastronomic and culture centre. Art galleries, the beautiful and exclusive Yacht Marina, some of the island’s best restaurants, fantastic shopping, and a thriving all-year community, ensure that life in Santa Eulalia is led at a rather slower and more relaxing place.
We stayed at the 5 star Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa. Located on the seafront next to the Santa Eulalia river and just a few steps away from the beach and promenade. The hotel was truly impressive, boasting a spacious pool area, ample loungers, and a garden setting with a restaurant overlooking the pool. The dining options were exceptional, and the spa was impressive. Staff provided excellent service, and our room was ideal.
When we didn’t dine at the hotel, we savored various meals by the marina or along the promenade. There’s something to suit every taste. You can enjoy watching volleyball on the beach while dining, admire the yachts if you choose a restaurant near the marina, or simply just watch the world go by. One of our favorites was the Marytierra restaurant by the marina, delicious seafood overlooking the yachts and a must for ice cream lovers was the Antartica Heladeria.
So, what were our daytime activities? Well, there’s a boat taxi available at the marina that transports you to various destinations both on the island and to the seperate island of Formentera. Es Cana is home to the famous hippy market, which is a must-see. Ca Llonga boasts a beautiful cove and is worth visiting for a different beach day. And of course, Ibiza Town is simply stunning, with beautiful shops, impressive yachts, and the iconic castle.
