Abu Dhabi

A city where tradition meets modernity, and where the shimmering sands of the desert meet the azure waters of the Arabian gulf. As the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi offers a unique blend of culture, luxury, and adventure.

Having visited in February 2024, it is a truly amazing city with hidden gems, iconic landmarks and unforgettable experiences. Explore cultural landmarks at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Heritage Village and Louvre. Indulge in a shopping spree at Yas Mall or take a ride on the world’s fastest roller coaster at Ferrari World.

Abu Dhabi is a fantastic destination for families; we visited Yas Island Waterworld, Seaworld and Warner Bros. All unforgettable experiences. Not forgetting a thrill-seeking adventure on a desert safari, sand bashing, sand boarding, camel rides and a night spent under the stars at a Bedouin-style desert camp, where we enjoyed traditional cuisine and entertainment.

We stayed at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr: a contemporary design with a stunning private beach. It has eight dining options which include two restaurants by Marco Pierre White and Cafe Sushi, which is renowned for serving the best sushi in Abu Dhabi. It has won numerous awards and has the most attentive staff and first class service. The temperature controlled Olympic length pool was unbelievable, with a jacuzzi overlooking the beautiful beach. It also had a shaded children’s pool, kids club, gym and shops on site.
