Barbados

In October, we travelled to Barbados, and what an incredible experience. We stayed at the 5 star O2 Beach Club and Spa, which exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic, featuring daily afternoon tea. A standout for us was the Oro restaurant, offering an à la carte menu with exquisite dishes, providing a luxurious dining experience. The rooms were spacious, and the staff truly made our stay memorable, going above and beyond to assist everyone. We even experienced the turtles being hatched, 7 nests in total, helping the staff to collect them before predators did.

The only thing with our hotel I would say was that the sea was quite rough compared to the stillness of beaches around us, however we were quite pleased as it was ideal for boogie boarding (given to us by the hotel each day) providing endless hours of fun.

We explored the northern part of Barbados, taking in the stunning cliff views and visiting the nature sanctuary. Bridge town was hot! But one our main highlights of our holiday was having the incredible experience of swimming with horses in the ocean, which has become one of my most unforgettable moments.

A must is the famous Oistins Fish Fry, which takes place every Friday. It's quite a unique experience, and you definitely should check out Pat's Place! The lines may be long, but there's a good reason for that—it's the best!

Overall, Barbados is a stunning country and is known as one of the safest destinations in the Caribbean. We certainly felt this during our visit; everyone was welcoming and went out of their way to help us.
